Privacy Policy

Version 2026-11-07

The Crumble team is responsible for the personal data processed in Crumble. This explains what we collect and why.

What we store

We use this to run Crumble: to show your recipes to the people you choose, and to keep the community safe (handling reports and blocks). The legal basis is the agreement with you (our terms) and our legitimate interest in a safe service.

Where it's stored

Data is stored with our hosting provider Supabase in the EU (Ireland). Photos are only served to people who may see the recipe.

Recipe import (AI)

When you use import, the link's page, your text or your photo is sent to Anthropic (Claude) to create a draft. We don't keep that input; we only store the resulting draft and a record of the import. Anthropic processes it on our behalf and doesn't use it to train its models.

Analytics and crash reports (only with your permission)

If you turn on "Help improve Crumble", we send anonymous usage events (no recipe text, names or messages) to PostHog (EU) and crash reports to Sentry. You can turn this off at any time in Settings; nothing is sent while it's off.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, recipes, photos, comments and other data are deleted right away. Reports you made about others are kept without your name, so moderators can still act on them.

Your rights

In Settings you can export all your data (JSON) and delete your account. You can also ask us for access, correction or deletion, or object to processing: support@crumble.social. You can complain to your data protection authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Children

Crumble is not meant for anyone under 16.
